gordonmother | How to fight this government to stop increasing the taxes? |
What do you think , if all of us in the Uk to send thousands of e-mails to our local MPs , to tell them stop putting taxes up and up every time, we are struglling to make a living and they are making even more difficult for us. |

Someone once said there are 3 things you can be sure of in this life
Birth
Death
Taxation
I don't think the tax burden is particularly onerous, especially because we have a free health system. In other countries many people struggle to pay medical bills, and many companies are cutting employee health insurance because they cannot afford them.
I believe its one of this countries greatest achievements, that sick people are treated without seeing how much money they have in their pocket.
I don't mind paying taxes for that. |

By sending hundresd perhaps thousands of emails to the local MP's would not do anything at all, if anything it will take more of their time up and cause more loss of valuable time.
This would then incurr more costs to get the emails read and possibly replied to!
The only way to avoid the uk tax's is to move from the UK! i know its a tough one but i feel that this is the only way as we have seen for many many years in the past the tax's never come down they just keep rising!!
i know its a headache but we do live in the best country in the world!¬!!
Lets try and keep our british loyalty up and keep Britain GREAT! |

VOTE LIBERTARIAN!
It is the only way.
The best definition of insanity--at least in the case of the voting public--is this: repeating the same actions over and over, expecting a different result.
We have had Democrats(Labor Party in U.K.) running everything in the. We have had Republicans(Conservatives) running everything. It is time to give competence a chance.
Be well. |

One way would be to make fewer demands on the services provided by the government and local authorities. After all, that's mostly what your taxes are spent on. |

I agree with you and just to pay for all the bloody political correctness and immigrants who don't work and all others who don't work and are social parasites. Plus of course we have to pay for the extortionate salaries of the MP's in Europe and at home.
Best thing is to get the hell out of the place, it is going to the dogs for sure |

If you imagine the UK as a company, like any other, the tax problem becomes clear. The money generated from tax does not cover all of the services that are currently being offered (Roads, NHS, Defence, etc.). It hasn't covered them for a long time. In fact the receivers should have been sent in 20 years ago.
Labour, unfortunately, is the high tax high spend party. They always have been. Unfortunatly, in order to maintain the current services, more and more money will have to be pumped in (Anybody who has played Theme Park will be all too familiar with the cost of maintaining rides).
The Governments solution has been to borrow the money (You don't want to know the repayments on the billions we owe.)
Labour have grown old in office. Time for a change. I just cant stomach another Tory upswing. Could always give the Lib Dems a chance.
Whatever, basically the governments policy is not working and we are going to pay through the nose until they stabilize the accounts. |

endorse all you say Boscombe its time ALL the people told Brown enough is enough and if people vote this lot in again for the next 20/30 years then we deserve all we get from them |

Increased taxes is from increased spending (unless the bast are pocketing it) Vote no on all new spending and cut other spending. Tell the MP's that is what you want to lower your taxes.
Problem is don't whine if your favorite project is cut. |

this is very difficult to do, it might be better to live in france for a while where to taxes are horribly high, then go home to the UK and enjoy paying less! |
