beadswetty | How to take federal tax off my check |
How can I ask my employer to remove the federal tax charge from my paycheck? I've always hated paying that tax and recently found out there's no law that supports it. |

Title 26 - Internal Revenue Code (link above). That is the law.
It just as real as laws against murder, robbery and speeding.
If you become to big of a pain to your payroll department, your company will find a way to get rid of you.
File your returns and pay your taxes. You will be much happier in the long run. Tax Protesters always end up broke and alone and sometimes, in jail. |

You claim exempt on your W-4 form and your employer will stop, for awhile, taking any federal or state withholding from your. At some point the IRS will catch on and send you a bunch of nasty notices. If you ignore them long enough they will take everything you own. That will take a little help from the courts which may give you some idea that there is a law. Now you can really push this a find yourself in Jail also. By the way you will be required to pay taxes on the earnings from your job in prison also, that is in the law also. |

1. There is a law. Jail time awaits those who convince themselves there is no law. Wesley Snipes tried to get away with this big time.
2. If you refuse to pay the tax, the IRS will send a lock-in letter to your employer requiring them to withhold taxes at the highest rate possible.
3. If your employer realizes you are playing games with the W-4, he can refuse to accept it. (Eg, you claim exempt and your salary is more than $10,000 a year.) |

hello - there is a law that supports it - pay your taxes, you do not want the IRS to focus on you. they can make life very difficult if they think you are trying to get away with something. be thankful you live here and not in some countries where they take far more for taxes (of course, they have universal health care coverage too, but theres always a trade off). you goal in tax paying should be that you owe the IRS $0-300 at the end of the year or that they owe you the same amount. try to net to 0 with them. good luck |

You can't, there is and believing that crap will get you a stay in a federal facility. Also, if you ask your employer, you will look like a nutjob and pprobably be canned. |

To reduce the federal tax charge, you can increase your personal exemptions until the tax disappears. The only problem is that when you file your 1040 by next April, if you could not legally claim the exemptions, you will have severely underpaid your taxes, which means you will be charged severe late payment penalties, plus the tax you owe on your income.
Obviously, you are young and are earning your first paychecks. Most young folks are totally surprised that taxes are taken out of their pay. With increasing age you will get used to it.
One piece of advise: Don't fool with the IRS. Pay your taxes, most of the money will be used for good causes. |

simple. Move to another country and give up your citizenship. There are others waiting to come here that are more willing to help the country |

Don't listen to everything you read on the internet.
Go to www.irs. gov and search for "Frivolous Tax Arguments." You could be looking at fines and penalties for wasting the governments time as well as the fines and penalties for not filing or paying your taxes.
You may not agree with how the government spends its money, but do you really want to live in a country that has dirt roads, pit toilets and terrorists running up and down those dirt roads? If you don't like taxes, then move to Montana and live off the land, or else get involved with politics on some level. |

You claim exempt on your w-4.
Also, be careful of your interpretation of the law. |
