You can claim as many as you like on your checks as long as you claim the proper amount at the end of the year. |

You're OK taking 1 allowance on your W-4. Monitor your situation later this year, maybe do a mock tax return and see if you have substantially underpaid your taxes. If so, adjust your W-4.
If you take more allowances than are reasonable you will owe money come tax time, plus perhaps penalties for underpayment. |

Claiming 0 takes out the maximum amount of taxes. If you claim 1, yourself, you should get more money on each check. |

Usually IRS will perform auditing on certain taxpayers. So, if you don't want them to come after you, it is best to claim 2 if you have only one job and single. It doesn't matter whether you have dependents or not. One exemption is that you are single and one other exemption is that you have only one job. 1+1=2. The state taxes are different which is only one exemption. |

The more you have taken out of your check in taxes is more money you will get back at tax time. I'm guessing you are a teenager or young adult, probably working minimum wage soo....Would you rather get hundreds back or pay it? Up to you. ;) |

Claim 1 and you take less out and pay more at the end of the year. |

If you want more money with each check put in "1" but you'll likely have to pay it all back (and then some) at tax time. |

Claim one. Zero takes out the most. Just make sure you wont have to pay in. I doubt one would cause that |

The more exemptions you claim, the less money they take out. |

More dependents equals less tax with holdings. |

For your money now, claim yourself (1) now. If you'd rather a bigger refund at the end of the year, don't claim yourself now (0). |

Claiming 1 will result in a higher take-home pay now. |
