I have taken the H&R Block tax prep course so one year I decided to try their program. It is not nearly as good as TurboTax... that's the program I use every year. I have not tried Quicken's version, so I can 't give my opinion of it. The only bad thing I found this year is that they don't give rebates anymore for the cost of the e-file. They always used to do that in the past.... and they had a rebate for the state return as well. This year I ended up paying nearly $70 even after paying the $40 for the program. It cost me $17.95 to e-file the federal return... $17.95 to file the state return.... and since I told them to deduct the fees from my refund rather than give my credit card they charged me a handling fee of $29.95 on top of that. I was pretty disappointed.

Im not sure. but be sure you get form 481 with whatever you get. and if you do the EZ you lose out on 250 dollars free deductions so those should be what your looking for in the software.

turbo tax is good also if your income is under a certain limit you can file for free (www.irs.gov has a list of websites were you can do that).

H&R Block.com was very easy. I used that one last year and this year (because it was free thru my bank) I used turbo tax.
