NOPE
it's there for your protection and all the saps who never save for their retirement, who don't join the 401k, create an IRA or SEP and contribute to it
You can reduce your taxable income by your valid expenses and deductions. . .
read up on it. . .keep good records and receipts and logs

Hopefully you keep wonderful records and are deducting everything you can.

You may wish to talk to your tax professional about becoming an S-corp and that way, you can deduct the employer's portion of the SS/Medicare taxes. It may save you a few tax dollars and give you an extra layer of liability protection.

You might be able to get out of paying some (but certainly not all) of your Social Security (self employment) taxes if you form an S-Corporation. Depending on how much you make and what profession you're in you might save between 10-50% on it.

It comes at a cost, however. You'll receive less in SS benefits when you retire. And the administration is much more complex - payroll deposits, quarterly payroll reports, an additional annual tax report. That could cost you 2K or more annually.

Talk to an accountant or EA with your specifics in hand.

Yes, there are thousands of ways to get out of paying SS tax. All of the rest of us have figured it out....why haven't you.

Not one single person on YA has paid SS in the past 3 years.

Oh well, glad you are keeping the program solvent.
