i didn't need smart @$$ answers. im not one of the people on welfare and social security and medicaid and disability... i'm a hard worker, working 40-64 hours a week, plus going to school full time. due to my large commutes this money will definetly help me out with gas. all i needed was a simple i dont know, no one knows... or it might be in check form, or you should get it by july... the information i recieved from the news paper said "IN BANK ACCOUNTS BY MAY 2". |

Are you sure you actually qualify for the stimulus payment?
A few things that are required in order to receive the payment are:
- $3000 in earnings
- 18 yrs of age
- Vallid SSN
- 2007 return filed by April 15
And. . .
you must have claimed yourself as your exemption.
This means you cannot have been claimed as an exemption on someone else's return.
Also, did you direct deposit your 07 refund or did you receive a paper check in the mail. However you received your refund is how you will receive the stimulus payment as well. |

My SSN is 00. I used TaxAct and filed for free with a direct deposit. According to the IRS website, I am eligible for the stimulus check for $2100, depositing no later than May 2. Of course, at close of business today (May 2) its not there. I used the "Where's my stimulus check?" link from the IRS website and it said I must have made a mistake. I called the IRS number 1-800-829-1040 pressed option 2, then option 3. The woman I spoke with said that I am in fact due for direct depoist in the amount of $2100. I asked where was it and she said that they would be depositing up until midnight tonight and depending on how long it takes for my bank to process it, I could have to wait up to next Friday (May 9). I guess I'll just keep checking the bank account. . . I don't know why I expect anything from the government to be exactly as they say. Good luck to all. . . |

Wow...You should be happy you might get anything at all if you ask me. Your money? The gov't set this up to stimulate the economy...it's not like you earned it for crying out loud. You will get it when you get it. Many people's rebates are getting mailed despite where their 2007 refund went. Everyone should have it by July. |

People were expecting that money when the IRS said it was coming. If we don't get it, yes, we want to know why. This is all very strange, that they are doing it all on different days. Why not all at once? And I was expecting that money now, I paid certain bills around it, and now I'm not too happy. I understand why so many people are asking, they just want to know why. And if someone else is having the same problem, we don't feel alone in our frustration. |

I know, I think that we all have gone thru the dates, and the rules, and we all know EVERYTHING about this damn stimulus package. All we really want is our money that the government said that we would have by this date. It is horrible how they lead us on. The mess that the government caused is tremendous, because it just causes us to get more upset with them.....at least I am. |

And your question is? Most of us are waiting. It will get here when it gets here, posting questions will not make it come any faster, and no one here knows more than you do.
