Your research is flawed. It isn't voluntary.·
THINGS I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL I SAW THEM ON THE INTERNET:
Nobody ever really landed on the moon - it was a giant hoax. What you saw on TV was filmed in Utah.
Elvis is still alive, and performing marriage ceremonies in Las Vegas.
It is unconstitutional for the government to tax your wages (income tax), the 16th amendment was never ratified, and most of what we think of as income isn't really income anyway.
Excuse me now....I just won 2 million pounds in the online UK lottery when my email was randomly selected, and I have to go answer the email.....

Some assert that they are not required to file federal tax returns because the filing of a tax return is voluntary. Proponents point to the fact that the IRS itself tells taxpayers in the Form 1040 instruction book that the tax system is voluntary. Additionally, the Supreme Court’s opinion in Flora v. United States, 362 U.S. 145, 176 (1960), is often quoted for the proposition that "[o]ur system of taxation is based upon voluntary assessment and payment, not upon distraint."
The Law: The word “voluntary,” as used in Flora and in IRS publications, refers to our system of allowing taxpayers initially to determine the correct amount of tax and complete the appropriate returns, rather than have the government determine tax for them from the outset. The requirement to file an income tax return is not voluntary and is clearly set forth in sections 6011(a), 6012(a), et seq., and 6072(a). See also Treas. Reg. § 1.6011‑1(a).

Your "research" is seriously defective. Income taxes at all levels are quite legal. This has been addressed in the courts countless times.
If you don't sign the W-4 at your job, taxes will be withheld at the highest possible rate. In the vast majority of cases MUCH more will be withheld that you actually owe. And if you refuse to give your employer your SSN, they will hold your pay until you provide it.
If you then fail to file a tax return, the IRS will review your account and if it appears that enough was withheld to cover your tax liability they won't do anything -- that is, except keep the money that would have been refunded to you if you filed as you should have.
Restart your "research" with The Constitution. Specifically Article 1, Section 8. That gives Congress the right to lay taxes. ANY taxes. INCLUDING income taxes. (I suggest that you hope that they never pass a "Stupid Tax" as it will cost you a fortune.) Then Google Title 26 of the US Code. That should satisfy you that taxes are LEGAL and that you MUST pay them if you earn enough money to have a tax liability. |

Congratulations, you are the first person from the fruitcake fringe to post today.
What part of 85 years of enforcement don't you understand? If the fact that they system has been in place and functioning and passing muster with the supreme court sinc 1913 isn't enough to convince you then you are suffering from oxygen deprivation. |

Taxes are legal. Re-research, or have someone else do it and explain it to you. |

If you work you have to pay just like everyone else. How do you think your roads and water systems get fixed. Yes some of it goes to the people working in the government but alot of it goes to programs and maintance. why should you be any different and not have to pay. |

an employer has an obligation to take taxes out of your wages unless you are contract labor. I also think that paying taxes sucks, but without taxes the government could not exist. Where would money come from to build interstate highways, or to pay for upkeep of national parks or lakes.
No taxes would mean no money for the military to defend the country. No military would mean no more jobs at defense related industry, ie. Lockheed, Macdonald Douglas, Vought,
It would put millions of people out of work, with no money from the govt. to help the families that lost their jobs.
No taxes would mean much higher prices for food. The reason food is so affordable in U.S. is because the govt. gives subsidies to the farmers so they can continue to grow crops and sell their harvest at such a low rate.
Think about all of the services that are provided by a govt. entity, be it city, county, state, or federal, and ask yourself if you can live without these things. |

Federal out ways local jurisdiction. If you dont pay taxes or sign the paper, you cannot work in the USA. Even though state law may say you cannot pay taxes, you have to pay federal. If not and you do find a under the rug job, the IRS can come after you for not paying/back taxes and put liens on everything. |
