Not likely May. It is scheduled to be in the mail no later than July 4, so you should get it by the next week. SOME, but far from all, are going out ahead of schedule.

Chances are, the rebate is only $300. To get $600, you actually had to pay that much in tax.
You can get a status on your rebate by going to irs.gov, click on where's my refund, then where's my stimulus.
If your rebate has been processed, you will get a message. If it hasn't, you will get "sorry"--the underlying program appears to run on Mondays. |

It depends on how you filed. Did you do direct deposit or request a paper check. Well since it is after May 16th. I have to assume you are waiting on a paper check. Bad news for you DUDE. Since you didn't go with direct deposit you will be waiting until JULY.
Social Security numbers ending between 76-87 can expect their payment to be mailed on July 4th, 2008

Irs.gov, goto the website for the exact date. Basically they broke everyone who filed a return into three groups and used 3 weeks in may to determine when who would get theirs. Sounds like your in the last list based on your ss and you will have to wait the longest. Additionally it depends on whether you e-filed and used direct deposit for your regular return this year, anyone who did not e-file with direct deposit will have to wait even longer but check out irs.gov for a firm date and official range of time. |
