No, you won't. Your parents will be claiming you, and they will get an extra $300. Don't whine about it, they have paid 100 times that just to raise you.

bmtxkeller
I dont think so because you are 15 and your parents will be claiming you on their taxes so you proly wont get the $600. that is if your talking about the extra checks that will be issued later this year.

djhonda247
Let your parents claim you until you are out of the house. They will get an extra $300 per child plus the normal amount which I will assume is approximately $2000. Thats more than what you get. It's nice to let our parents recoup what they spent on us living in their house and eating the food they bought, etc...

$5000 is way below the poverty line and barely in the 10% tax bracket. You taxes should be? $0 + 10% = $500 at the most. So if the government did take that much taxes from you ($1000)---YES you can expect a good return around the figure you specified above. But then if your parents do claim you as a dependent in their tax filings then thats another matter altogether which is beyond me.

your parents will probably get the $600 rebate check, and you should get all your taxes withheld back

C Ttam
i thought that minors got all of their taxes back

Pat

No you will not. Your folks claim you on their taxes so they will get an additional $300.

you have to get it back because your guardian claims you and you are a minor.

iamtooproud
Probably not since you are a dependent and your parents will claim you on their taxes. They, however, will be able to get $300

Sharon F
if you're parents claim you as a dependent then more than likely not

also if you haven't filed taxes then you surely wont receive anything

but i would say don't expect a check in the mail

KidNova
woa, thats major paper for someone our age. idk, bu tell me how you do it

Jason K

Sarekay
