To " Penelope Pitstop!"
How can she get a job???
she is a FULL time student so hours may be 9-5, then she has to look after her children in the evening, then do her courswork.
Also if she were to get a job, then hire a nanny to care for her kids, the wages she would earn from that part time job would be eaten up by paying the nanny in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My younger sister's step mum was in the same situation about 6 years ago so I know what they have to go through.
This is the conundrum that many parents face inclduding two parent families!
when i have kids, it will be the same for me and my hubby!
both work then have to pay out almost a weeks wages on that very childcare that allowes us to work, or one stay at home!
The system wants parents at work and not at home on benefits but the very system that is supposed to help doesn't!
Sometimes your better off on benefits!
They take everything away when you go to full time work!
So please don't judge when you may know nothing about this woman! She is doing a great job and its bloody hard to go back to full time education!!!!
Everyone's answer these days, is to " get a job"
yes and when she graduates she may have a better pay scale and will have a better job to go to and won't need to have benefits!
jesus give the woman a break!
To the Questioner! :)
As others have pointed out, it's best to phone the jobcentre .
There are alot of people who are actually are entitled to help but don't think they will qualify and therefore never ask!
it's no harm in trying and good on you for studying! :0) |

each case is different so the only people who really know are the benefits agencies
your best bet would be to contact them |

you are in a very tricky situation . are you a loan parent? you might be able to get your loans topped up with income supprt but that cannot be guaranteed.
Contact you local Dss and ask for a claim form and also contact your student union rep to see if there are any burseries for people in your situation. |

you may be able to take the lifetime learning credit. also look for a 1098 E to deduct student loan interest if applicable. |

lol income support. hun you need moral support. live by your own means, dont take short cuts, and make others pay for your lifes choices.
best to get an accountant to find what to do with taxes. but really how can you look your child in the face knowing that someone else is paying for them. shame. |
