you can claim up to 9 dependants on your W-4. this does not change your tax status or the number of dependants you can claim on your 1040. it will however give you a little bit more money in your check each week. |

You can claim as many dependents as you want on your W-4.....However, when you file your taxes you must only claim the legitimate amount you can claim.....in your case 1 (yourself). |

On your W4, claim as many as you like. On your 1040A, claim only yourself.
Since you'll have less withholding, you might want to save a bit each week for your tax bill. |

You can claim yourself (1 exemption) or none (0 exemption).
Claiming 1 will give you more in your paycheck, but less of a tax refund at the end of the year.
Claiming 0 you will have less in your paycheck, but more in a tax refund at the end of the year. |

On your w-4 you can claim whatever you want for exemptions but in your situation if you claim more than 3 you will end up owing the IRS money plus interest at the end of the year. |

You can claim yourself. |

If you don't itemize deductions you can claim 1 but generallt 0 is better to ensure that you don't owe at the time you file your return. If you itemize deductions you would have to complete the worksheet of page two of the W-4 to see how many additional exemptions you may claim. |

as many as you suport and you better be able to prove it you can't claim your mooching boyfriend they have to be related to you. if you are not suporting anyone you can put a bunch on your w4 but you better not put but one on your w2 or 1099 when you file your return |

You can claim whatever you want, but when you FILE, you've got to claim zero.
Why would you want the IRS to keep more money out of your check? They don't pay interest. Put your money into an account that pays interest and then just plan on paying taxes at the end of the year. |

Either one or none. Best to claim 0, you will get more back at the end of the year. |

You can claim 0 or 1. If you claim zero you will prob get a bigger income tax check back, or if you claim one you will still get a check but you will get more money on your pay check. |
