There is NO tax on "imported" funds. If you bring $10k or more in cash or negotiable instruments (checks, bearer bonds, etc.) then you must declare it with US customs. If you have the funds wired to an account in the US, the banks will take care of any required reporting if any is needed. |

You shouldn't, most of our taxes are on income and on gains from investing. I would be surprised if you were. Im not familiar with immigration policy though |

No, there is no tax. Only if you bring amount more than $10,000 you must declare it to the customs.
If you are a nonresident, then the money you earn in the U.S. may be taxable. |

You will need to report the money you bring into the USA at Customs. As far as being taxed on it, it would only be the customs taxes.
