If the garnishments are for taxes and penalties you more than likely will not get a refund. Look over the agreement that was made with them concerning the garnishment, it should have some "fine print" regarding things like this. I owed taxes the last time Bush gave rebates, they kept mine, but it lowered the amount of money owed, so that was good.

I doubt it. So long as you have a balance, they will most likely withhold your refund and credit the amount to the balance owed. |

Oddly, I agree yes. They did that with my ex....they sent him a refund, but then they asked, actually demanded it back. So don't spend it when it comes...they still are idiots, very tough to deal with even when you are trying to do the right thing...
I will probably get audited now....!!!! |
