if you have applied through an agent... then do not worry you will get ti within a month... if not... then go to income tax office and meet concerned man...

You have given only 14 digits out of 15 digits of acknowledgment number. I tried with your number it is asking for 15 digits. So I am giving a web link from where you your self can track the status of your PAN.

You can visit this site & know your PAN Card status. & Do not ever give any information like name & Ack no. on internet.

Hi Sheela,

12th only you have applied wait for up to Jan 1 Week other wise long on the website there you can track the status of your PAN Card.

just log on to www.incometaxindia.gov.in

Click on PAN tab there

Click on Status of PAN

then a window will open.

there will be two alternative ways of knowing ur PAN Card Status :-

1) through your acknowledgement number
2) through your name and date of birth.

you should opt for the 2nd option

u just fill up your first , middle and last name with date of birth

then click on SUBMIT button.

you will have ur status.
