You claimed single zero on your W-4 with your employer. Your W-2's are the information they send to you that report your income and the taxes paid on that income.

You can generally claim one exemption for yourself. This year it's $3400. Your standard deduction, for filing single, is $5350 this year.

I always claim 0 and claim 1 when filing.

No. You file as single.

Judy1
You don't list yourself as a dependent, but if nobody else can claim you, you take an exemption for yourself.

JK Harris
No, you do not claim yourself as a dependent. You get one exemption for yourself when filing your taxes.

Daisy M
what you claim on you w2 just means how many taxes you want to take out of each check claiming zero on your w2 means you have the most taxes taken out. what you claim on your taxes is totaly different. unless someone else like a parent is claiming you then yes you defintely claim your self as a dependent

nowaynohow
If no one else is claiming you as their dependant, then you declare yourself as a dependant.

motor_42
Yes you will, and by claiming 0 on your W2, usually more taxes are taken out, so there is a good chance you will get a refund.
