You need to go to www.irs.gov and check on your return. They also have an 800 number you can call to personally ask someone about it. You should always do your own taxes, with Turbo Tax it's really easy and it will save you a bunch of fees. Good luck.

You can check online at the IRS's website to see if your return has been processed. Here is the site: http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96596,00.html

she probably took your money. See if she still practices her work. there were a lot of cases when people like her took money from people like us and disappeared. If you can't find her, contact a lawyer that specializes in cases like that.

I would contact the Internal Revenue Service and find out if your information was filed, and if it was, and you were due a tax return, why you have yet to receive it.

In almost every case, when you file, you have the option to have the funds direct deposited, or sent by a check. I would always opt for the first option, and if not, have the check sent to your home, not to your tax preparer.

If your taxes were not filed (maybe they were filed but you were not owed a refund), then I would let them know why they were not filed on time and see what your options are, because there may be a penalty or penalties involved for late filing.

I would then contact the Better Business Bureau in your area and lodge a complaint regarding your tax preparer if she is running a tax prep business. If she is not returning your phone calls, you may also want to try to see her in person, and if she will not see you, then you might want to go the route with the BBB, but definitely check with the IRS, and if it is state taxes, check with your states appropriate department or division which is responsibility for the collection of taxes.

I hope this helps you!

you could call the police.

And the Franchise tax board.

Or a lawyer.

Call the BBB and inform then of her business practices. You can also write her a letter informing her of what your intentions are. Contact IRS and find out why you haven't received a return. If they already sent it out and it was cashed contact an attorney.

You write that your federal refund came back, but your state has not. The IRS is not going to know anything about your state refund. You need to contact the Dept. of Revenue in your state have them look up your tax account and see what is going on with your refund. Your tax id # should be your social security #. You can get the # by calling your local directory or looking it up online. Good Luck!

Maybe they are investigating your return. Write a letter. Keep the letter and if you don't get a reply in 30 days, write the IRS directly (usually you send your 1st letter to the department handling your case) and tell them what is going on. It's always better to do it in writing.

I don't understand the question. Tax Returns don't come back.

if you call 1-800-706-0902, it is an automated line. you will need the social security of the person whose name appears first on the tax return, the filing status whether it is single, married filed joing, married filed single or head of household, and the exact amount of the refund. it will give you information on if the return was filed and when the refund went out. if it was never filed you will be told that the return can not be found. good luck

refunds do get lost in the mail so before you go reporting her, find out what happened.
