I neither owed the IRS money nor did I get a refund. Imagine that? Even though I filled electronically, the IRS had no routing number. So, it looks like I'll have to wait un the end of June to get my check. Besides my pension, I get SS. You'd think both SS and the IRS would talk to each other. But no. Kind of like the NYFD and NYDP on the day of 911.

When you filed, did you have your payment taken out at that time? If so, then you will get a paper check. |

Judging from how many people have said that on this site today you are in good company. I agree with you though it is the government for us to expect them to use logic would be too much. I know alot of folks are depending on it. |

If you provided your bank account information on your tax return, you will get by direct deposit.
Also in the first lot only those whose return was processed by April 15, 2008 are getting the rebate.
Go to www.irs.gov. Click Where is my Refund? Then click Status of my Stimulus Rebate.

my sister didn't get hers either, and she's TICKED! she had no problem getting her refund earlier this year, so why should getting a promised "stimulus package" be any different? I really think that someone just screwed up BIG TIME today. |

I am amazed at the respondents' general impatience. This is a HUGE undertaking with only three months to prepare--right in the middle of the busiest season of the year for IRS.
This law was just passed three months ago--it is money none of us had any idea we would be receiving before then. I'll appreciate this windfall when it comes and not get all frustrated in the meantime. Sure helps with the blood pressure.... |
