I got notice from IRS today. The delay was due to my bank rejected the fund transfer request from IRS. They are going to mail me a check in 3 weeks.

check the status on IRS.gov - click the 'where's my refund' link & it'll tell you whats going on with it.
Electronic filing refunds are supposed to be received within 2 weeks of being accepted. |

Efiling should result in a direct deposit in 10 business days.
If you filed for a check return, then its longer. But I would do a query on your confirmation # and make sure it didn't get bounced for some reasons. |

Last year it took us more than twelve weeks -- and we had filed early. This year I called in to the IRS about a different question, and without me even asking, at the end of the conversation, he said it would take at least fifteen weeks, probably more.
He sounded like he wanted to tell me that, and he also sounded like he had some kind of facetious sense of humor. Normally I try to have resounding comebacks for people like that, but in this case I kept my mouth shut, cause the IRS scares me. I've even had nightmares about it. Hold on, please, I've lost my train of thought... What was the question again? |

I'm glad you found out. Sometimes the routing number that is on the bottom of your checks is not the right number for direct deposits. Just found this out for myself |
