Go to a tax professional and they can assess your situation...H&R Block or someone like that!

You need to call the IRS and find out if they sent a check. You sure they actually GOT the information?

If your tax return processed, a refund check would have been issued. (If you were expecting a refund and the IRS made changes to the return, you still would have gotten a letter.)

If the refund check is returned to the IRS, they recredit your account and wait for an updated address. Either you contact them (in which case they release the check again to the correct address) *or* they'll reissue the check this year when you file with your new address.

Call the IRS as soon as possible! Also, if you know the amount of your return you can go to the irs website and click on where is my return and enter information they ask (must know amount of return) it will let you know something if they have information. The IRS has thousands of unclaimed refunds from last year luckily yours will be one of them!!

Good luck

Call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to see if your return was rejected. If it is you refile in the mail Last year, some companies had issues because their computers never sent the electronic returns to the IRS. If it was processed they can trace your check and resend you a new one. Next time select direct deposit. You will still get your refund even if you move. BTW if you moved did you tell the IRS so they know where to send you check?

Well if it went to the wrong address the post office would have sent it back. So you would need to go to H&R block or somewhere like that and ask them. I know there is a tax # that you can get but im not sure what it is.

rubberduckygeorge
go to H&R Block, they night be able to pull up your past filings. f not bring in your W-2s and everything from last year and they can redo them., before you get them redone go and amend the first one you filed. i am not just advertising H&R Block, those people train all year around, the first years have more experience then most senior tax professionals at any other place.

Your check was probably returned. In that case check your state's unlclaimed asset department to see if they have your money.

I'm not sure I understand the question? If you filed your taxes and they sent you a check - then you did your "tax return". If you filed, you should have printed out the "return" and there should have been a confirmation number when you filed electronically.
