Your primary residence for tax purposes is considered the property that you spent the majority of your time at. If this is too difficult to determine, then you are required to use the address of the home that is your main mailing address.

You should investigate the tax laws of the states in question. I am not familiar with those two states, but I have dealt a lot with others, and each state has its own rules. If you are working in only one state and living (or so called living) in another state, it has been my experience that you can choose who you want to pay the taxes for. The important thing is to do the research, because if nothing else, I can definitely say that it depends on the state in question!!

Been there, done that...I lived in one state and worked in another. Only paid federal taxes once, but had to file state taxes in both states....Sorry....

You have to pay taxes in California. If you earn it there you pay it there. I live in Idaho and work in Utah. I pay Utah taxes. I can understand why you want to earn in California and pay in Nevada. California is going to rape you on state taxes. Nevada has no state taxes. I get it. Can you incorporate your self in nevada and then have your employer pay your corp? You would have to consult with some one who deals in such legal matters. But it may be worth a try. Thats a lot of tax dollars. California is steep when it comes to taxes.

yes you can but you will have an extra form to fill out. My wife is an RN also and she did some work in Tennessee. We had to file a form in both Arkansas and Tennessee but we did not have to pay double taxes

Nope.

Unfortunately the government doesn't allow that.

You have to pay taxes in the state in which you earn the money, regardless of where your primary residence is.

If california has a state income tax you gonna have to pay it. most companies take out the tax before you get your check so you don't have a choice. wesley snipes should be able to advise you about paying taxes. Tennessee does nopt have a state income tax************
