I filed a dependent on my 2007 taxes but in my acct there was only $600 deposited for my rebate. What do I do?

Did the dependent turn 17 during 2007? You would receive an additional $300 per child under age 17.

It's very possible that your rebate for yourself was $300, plus $300 for the child. Not everyone gets $600 per adult, that's the MOST you can get - you only get that if you pay that much federal income tax.

It has to be a child that also qualifies for the child tax credit. Child must be UNDER 17. Also, make sure social security number for the child was entered correctly on the tax return.

The best way to answer your question is to call IRS directly and they will tell you what is going on. You may be right; they have been known to make a mistake. Speculating will not help get a definite answer. Good luck. I am still waiting here in Calif for mine, due today.

Depends on your tax liability. You might have gotten $300 for you, $300 for each child. $600 is for those individulas with a tax liability greater than that. $300 is for those dependents under the age of 17. In alot of cases on here I'm noticing people did not understand that part of the rebate and were expecting $600 to go to everybody and $300 for every child. If you check the where's my stimulus payment under the where's my rebate link on the irs website it will give you a breakdown of your rebate. Or maybe the rebate hotline 866-234-2942

It is probably correct. You received 300 for yourself and 300 for your dependent. If you had no tax liability you receive 300 not 600. You need to get your return and go to the IRS website and it will calculate it for you. My husband and I will only get 300 each plus 300 for each dependent because we had no tax liability.
