Are you sure you were eligible for one? If you are, call the IRS and ask.

Go to www.irs.gov. They have a lot of information. You may not have qualified for a stimulus check. If you did qualify, the IRS will be able to let you know. You may need to call them on the phone and they will put you on hold for a long time, but eventually someone will talk to you.

You won't get the answer on Yahoo Answers.

There are several possibilities here. One, if you owes taxes to the state you live in they may have taken it, but you should have gotten a letter notifying you of that. Another is (not knowing how old you are) if you are a dependent you your parent's tax return, you will not get a rebate. If you owe the IRS any unpaid taxes, you will not get the rebate and the amount will be applied to you taxes. For additional information for your circumstance, either visit IRS.gov or call the Stimulus Hotline 1-866-234-2942.

A few days ago the Yahoo main page had an article about some delays in checks due to electronic filing errors and a few other problems. There are a total of 250,000 checks that are going to be mailed this week.

Also, if you have dependent that does not have a social security number, you will not receive the check.

Two things, you may not be eligible or two, did you get married recently. If your social security number does not match the name they have on file they will hold it back. You will have to change your name with the SS office, then they will get it out to you.

First, WHEN did you file you taxes?
Second, have you verified your stimulus elgibility using www.irs.gov?

Did they ever send you a letter in the mail stating you would get one back? I got on the irs website and they have a link there where you'll have to punch in a few things from your w2 but it says whether or not your eligible..
A few weeks after i did that my husband and i received a letter in the mail that said we would be expecting one.. you can check out that website or you could just call and talk to someone.. That may be the best thing to do that way you can for sure figure it all out, i heard on the news that they had a lot of money left over that was never claimed/given out.. But just call them!

Were you eligible for the rebate? Did you earn enough money last year? Were you claimed as someone else's dependent? Or were you eligible to have been claimed as someone's dependent, even if they didn't actually claim you? That could mean you didn't qualify for the rebate even if you had income of your own.
