I filed my taxes online through H & R Block on Feb 1 and when I last checked the status of my refund on the IRS website, it said Feb 20. Right now the site is down and says to check back later, but just so you know, they update their info on Monday night, sometime between midnight and 3AM so you can check your status again on Tuesday morning to get a direct deposit date. I believe ours will be the same---Feb 16--according to this-

IRS efile refund chart:
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p2043.pdf

The problem is that unless you filed BEFORE 11AM on Feb 1 then your refund will not be in the group that is deposited Feb 9th. I was upset when I saw that I only missed getting my refund this weekend, instead of next, by just several hours!

By the way, here's the IRS website you can check the status of your refund at too:

https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp

Hopefully this site will be back up soon. Hope that helps!

Go to www.irs.gov and then type in "Where's my refund?" to the search box

It will give you a section of the site in which you input your filing status and expected refund and it will tell you when you should have it by. I assume you did direct deposit!

I filed mine using turbotax.com on 1/27 and i received MY refund on 2/9--- so I think perhaps you will get it next week.

call the IRS and when the prompt says "Has it been more that 8 weeks since you filed for your refund?"...click on yes...then you get to talk to a person to see if your paperwork has been recieved into the system.

I understand how you feel. I'm waiting too. The IRS hotline says my money was credited to my bank account also. I think the IRS had delays/problems with their system. You may see it by Monday, which is the next business day.

They give you an approximate date, based upon past history. Sometimes it takes a little longer, espcially now with more people filing online early. If you are receiving a check (not direct desposit) then you have to add 3-5 business days for mail.

If you don't have it by the end of the month, then I would say to give them a call.

Anton Mathew
Give it until March. There's no way that the IRS can process your taxes in that short amount of time.

I have filed mine on-line for the past five years and have never gotten my refund deposited to my account in less than fourteen days. It is still better than waiting six to eight weeks.
