If you owed taxes last year, you need to file separately, and will pay a fine. There are special documents for late filing.

Do not combine two years.

If you were due a refund last year, you may owe more as a penalty than the refund but still have to file. If you did not make enough to be required to file last year, leave it alone.

Go to a tax preparer. One of the big names or your friendly neighborhood tax accountant. Try to find one that is not so nice. You don't want someone to roll over if you get audited.

Don't combine them. That will certainly cause you big problems with the IRS.

Once you get into the accountant's system, they will remind you to do your taxes. It is well worth the money and won't cost you that much.

No do not file the 2 years together, You need to file 2005 as a pacper return as the IRS is only accepting 2006 electronically
you can get the 2005 forms here http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/article/0,,id=98339,00.html
If you need your income information, the IRS can provide them to you as a transcript within 7 -10 days, or if you have access to a fax machine they can fax them to you. Call 1-800-829-1040

No, you can't combine them, you need to do the two years separately.

You can't efile your 2005 return - you'll have to do it on paper and mail it in. You can download the forms and instructions at irs.gov. If you have a refund coming, you'll get it, and there won't be any penalties. If you owe, you'll have to pay the amount plus interest and penalties.

You can't file for an extension on your 2005 return. You'd have had to do before the return was originally due.

Your 2006 return can be efiled or mailed in on paper.

File the years seperatly.

Consult with or use an accountant to prepare your taxes. If you owed money last year and didnt file and extension, then you will pay additional fines and fees. However, If the govt owes you money they will not enforce any late fees or fines. You basically let them keep your money longer.

Hope the govt owed you money last year and good luck

u should go to an aggency, where they do taxes. there they will answer all ur questions. and they will do it for u. ok try to do now before time runs again....

You can never combine years.

You need to file a 2005 tax return. You also need to send in a request for an extension to file on 2005 (even though it's after the fact) and include the necessary fees for the late filing.

And you also need to do a 2006 tax return separately.
