I just spoke to my friend .He called the irs and they told him that his refund from last year(IRS CODE 1201) was indeed offset and that is the reason he is getting the $600.00.Sorry for the confusion. |

I have been on their site for numerous things and that scenario does not sound right. The site will not show our rebates, those are being notified thru a mailing notice, then direct deposited or mailed, beginning May 2. |

No, the first stimulus payments don't go out until May. If he filed his 2006 return very late, and had a $600 refund coming from that, then it would make sense, except the overdue tax years don't show up on irs.gov. So he's either misreading something or making something up. |

No they will be going out in the first week of May correlating with the last two digits of your social security number and so on and so forth up until June. |

Earliest distributions are set for May 2, for the direct-deposits for those with SSANs with last two digits 00-20 (I think is the first increment). Checks won't start going out until mid-to-late May. |

No, rebate checks are not scheduled to be mailed out for another month or two depending upon you social seceurity number. See article below. |

This is not a rebate check. First, they won't be out until May at the earliest. Second, this is something to do with the person's 2006 income tax return. That person should call IRS and inquire. |

All rebate checks are schedule to be delivered according to the last two numbers of social security number. And the schedule is according to how you filed. Is it mailed? Or did have your refund done with direct deposit? These checks will be delivered after May 1st. |
