If you are disabled or die leaving heirs you will get the money sooner.
Don't worry you won't get it back when you retire. That money is going to pay the current retired and disabled people. When you retire others will be taxed to pay for you.
You will need money when you retire so just get used to paying and don't forget to save money for other things like saving for your own retirement and paying for college, buying a house, etc.

Taxes are a consequence of making "hard earned" money.

There are no college discounts in taxes.

Welcome to the real world.

Welcome to the real word.

Those taxes are a cost of working and earning money. There is no way to get them back.

The laughter is because we all remember when we got that first paycheck and wondered where the money went. I also had federal income tax, state income tax and city tax. My paycheck shrunk by 28% and I was shocked.

Jss
You must pay SS tax at 6.2%, Medicare at 1.45% and state disability. You will not get it back.

You might "want" your money now, but you can't have it - you can't opt out. Social security and medicare take 7.65% from each check, Some states have disability programs that take additional amounts.
