I got job offer of $1,000/month in UK, should I join or not?

sukimitchell
What is this job ?

$1,000 is only the equivalent of £511 British pounds.

What are you thinking, That won't even keep you in food for a month, I should Know, I live here.

My House costs me £575 a month, $1,124 US dollars.

Blimey, you really need to do your home work angel, UK is one of the most expensive countries in the world, you will be taxed on that as well, so you only take home £420 which is $821 US dollars.

Either find a better job, or stay home.

Even I want out of this country most days

1000 dollars? I would say no, unless they are paying for all your living expenses. 12000 dollars a year isn't that much in the US, it is even less in the UK....

No Way !!!! Thats way too low (£125) a week.. That'll barely enough to pay the rent over here ...

delta
$1000 a month in UK. u must be joking. it is very very very low paying job. the minimum u need is about five thousand dollars a month to live a decent life in uk.

In UK they pay in ponds and if u will get $1000. and u have to
pay for apartment rent food phone all expence you have to
sleep hungry. its even less then min wages.

Melissa
$1000 is only 500 pounds and a beer is 4 pounds. Is that with room and board? England is expensive!

It depends what the "job" is.

If it has anything to do with cash checks and collecting payments from their "customers" it is a SCAM.

The checks will look perfectly real but will be fake. They will bounce but only after you send the money out via wire or Western Union. The bank will then come after you for the money.

Judy1
If they are telling you that you have to pay some kind of fee, then no it's a scam.

Since the UK uses pounds, not dollars, an offer of $1000 a month in the UK sounds pretty much like a scam.

Did you interview for this job? If not, figure it's a scam.

Harry
you meen 1000$ or pounds?

A dream is a wish ur heart makes
I live in California and 1,000/month is nothing over here. And I think things are more expensive in the UK so I say no thats way too cheap, unless you really wanna go and can live with Roommates i'd say hold off on this. Good luck to you :)

LoLo
I know I would. Go ahead. You would need the money.
