I got my Stimulus Payment Today, but not all of it? Will it come later today???
I am married and have to Qualifying children. And my accountant said we were getting back 1800, (600 for Me, 600 for my husband , and 300 for each kid.)
Today is the day the IRS Website said it would come by, and 1200 did ....wheres the 600 (300 for each kid) ...will that possibly come later today?? The IRS Website says that I would receive my payment no later then end of Business Day on May 16 (TODAY!)
I know today is not over...will I probably get it later....or is it a mistake or something...I know I am suppose to get 1800!!
I know its really early still so is it possible it will just come later on today?
Anyone else get it separate like this???

No, this is all you will get. Remaining you may get when you file your 2008 tax return.
The rebate paymentis equal the amount of tax liability on the return (tax liability on the return Form 1040 line 46 or Form 1040A line 28) with a minimum amount of $300 and a maximum amount of $600 for individuals.

If you do not receive full amount of $600 now, then you may get the balance amount when you file your 2008 return, and you become eligible for the tax rebate.

For information on stimulus tax rebate read: http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/02/are-you-eligible.html

did you receive your second letter from the irs yet? because that will tell you exactly what you were supposed to get... alot of people think that they are getting more than they actually get.

D-Rock!!!
My daughter's mother had the same thing happen. She claimed my daughter this year and is supposed to get $900, but only got $600 so far. She received it today, as well.

To get $600 each for you and your husband, your net federal inome tax for last year had to be at least $1200. Was it?

I read an article last night 300 for child , I think you might have to wait longer .....irs is having alot of problems . Just read $1800 went into the wrong acct.

Newsday cited the example of a Long Island man who said he found an unexpected $1,800 in his bank account. The man told the paper he checked with his bank and found the deposit belonged to someone with a different Social Security number

I couldnt found that article i read last night.

Oh, my, $1200 is $300 for mom, $300 for dad and $300 for each of your 2 children.

Your accountant apparently can't read since the official range was $600 to $1200 for mom and dad, not a guaranteed $1200. To get anything more than $600, you had to actually pay more than that in income tax.

*Or,* less likely, you did get $1200 for mom and dad and the IRS was missing the check box 4 on line 6c from the software and didn't think you actually had 2 children under the age of 17.

Here's a site that can tell you exactly how much you should receive, and when you should get it. It may tell you how much you're really supposed to get.
