I had to pay taxes this year. Will I still get a rebate check?
It was determined by my accountant that I owed taxes this year. I wrote a check in April to the IRS to pay the entire amount owed.

Does this mean I won't be getting a rebate check?

Nope. You ARE getting a rebate. I also owed this year, and just yesterday I got my notification about the rebate.

No, it means you WILL be getting one, unless your AGI was over $75,000. The amount will depend on your total tax liability will be somewhere between $300 and $600.

No, you will still get a rebate. Contact your preparer, he/she should be able to give you the estimated amount.

Yes, everyone( as long as they have filed taxes) will receive a stimulus check. It's something they are doing to help bump up the economy. Here is the link if you want to read more about it!

Danelle
yes, as long as you paid every penny that you owed if not the diffence willbe taken out of your check

You will still qualify for the rebate. However all rebate checks will be reduced by any debts the IRS is required to collect(defaulted student loans, child support, owed back taxes and such)

Xavior
go to www.irs.gov and i would read up on it, i believe its more determined on how much you made last year, not on if you owed anything
