I make about 10,000 a year if that. Does anyone know how much about I'll get back. Will it be all of what I put in or just part. Do my parents have to file me under them still so I'm still under their insurance?

You won't get back what was taken out for social security and medicare, and won't get all back that was taken for income tax, but if you paid in more than your total tax liability, then you'll get some of it back.

If you are a college student and still living with your parents, except for times you are away at school, odds are that they can claim you. There are a few other requirements they have to meet, though.

Depends how much you had withheld. Check with your parents and see if they are claiming you. You will probably only get part of what you had withheld back.

That depends on your filing status, how much taxes are taken off from your check, on how much you spend a year for college that you can deduct, and how much other deductions you can apply, and it never is the whole amount, but a percentage. You can also not get more than the amount of taxes that you have previously paid (which is the amount taken off from your check). Also if your parents file with you as a dependent it might be beneficial for you, that they deduct your college expenses, because they probably paid more taxes so you can get more of your money back. If your parents deduct your college expenses, you will only be able to deduct minor expenses as I assume you don't have much else to deduct.

If your parents can claim you, your taxable income will be $4650 or about $465 of tax. Compare that to your withholding.

if your parents support you they have to claim and if you live at home yes but if you live away from them and they don't support you on that salary you might get about 700 back

If you are a full-time student, you are exempt from federal taxes and should get all you FIC tax back. I'm not sure about state income tax though, maybe someone else knows that part
