aprilmayy@sbcglobal.... | I have a question about the President tax check.? |
My aunt is disabled and is raising my cousin also getting county aid and she wanted to know if she will be included in getting the tax check? |

Your aunt needs $3000 in "qualifying income".
She will qualify for a minimum payment of $300 if her tax return reflects $3,000 or more in qualifying income. For the purpose of the stimulus payments, qualifying income consists of earned income such as wages and net self-employment income as well as Social Security or certain Railroad Retirement benefits and veterans’ disability compensation, pension or survivors’ benefits received from the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2007. |

Yes but, she will have to file a tax return. That money is coming from the IRS, not Social Security Disability. If the IRS does not have her name and address, Plus other info, it will not mail her a check. |

If their only income is welfare, no they don't get a refund or pay taxes - and won't get anything from the rebate.
If the person also works during the same year as they receive welfare, then they'd pay taxes depending on their income, and could get a refund - their tax situation would be the same as if they hadn't gotten welfare that year. |

Does she receive social security disability? If so, then if she files a 2007 tax return, she'll be eligible. |

no matter what her income is. just file. |

If she gets disability income she will be elidgible. If she just gets county aid- she won't. She will need to file her tax return even though she doesn't owe taxes to get the refund. |

yes one for her and one for the child I believe now I may have the numbers wrong but I think it is 300.00 for adult and either 3 or 4 hundred for child. |

If she files her 2007 taxes she should be getting something. |

It depends on your income I think. I know they were talking about adding an amount for retired seniors to, who just draw social sercurity. I think that will be something like $250 or close to it. That might be the amount she will get. Do soem researching online I guess to find out exactly. Good luck! :) |

From what I've heard, everyone will be recieving one; however, it will be considered taxable income so if she is getting earned income credit or child credit that may affect her ability to recieve that. |
