Please resist the temptation to get those "refund anticipation loans" or "simple fee" programs! The fees that they charge are outrageous -- I've calculated interest rates as high as 2,533%.
You can probably e-file your taxes for free through the IRS website. Here's a link: http://www.irs.gov/efile/article/0,,id=118986,00.html |

If you have a fairly simple situation, you can do your taxes yourself. For free. Really, it's not that hard to do a 1040EZ.
However, if you want to pay someone (it's not cheap) to do your taxes, there are plenty of places that'll do it. A refund anticipation loan is available at lots of places, but the fees are high. Do you REALLY need the money now? If so, you might be better off looking at other ways of getting a loan, before you commit to this.
Seriously... don't fear doing your taxes. |

I used an on-line service (www.taxact.com) and for $9.95 they file electronically and for an additional $15 (I think) they will take the fee out of your refund. If you have it direct deposited you will get your refund in 15 to 20 days.
OR you can go to a service that will give you your refund up front less the $100 or $150 they might charge!
There are probably some services that are free too, go to www.irs.gov and see what they say! |

just about any 'chain' tax place can do it, but they charge you high fees, usually over $100. Is it really wort it? |

well welcome to the club of being a taxpayer. the answer to your question is really nowhere. all the tax preparation places that offer the instant refund do so only to those clients whose taxes they have filed the previous year. (that is how they can do it) besides the fact that the costz are very high and result in finance charges that are out of this world really (depending on the amount of refund the annual rate on instant and rapid refund loans can exceed 300-400 percent or more.) and should be avoided |

If you want part of you refund the same day you will have to pay a fee for it, if you want to deduct the tax preparer fee from your refund also is going to cost you a fee. My reccomendation do it yourself using this site http://www.hrblock.com/taxes/partner/index.jsp?otpPartnerId=180 you wont have to pay anything for doing yourself if free, but you wont be able to get money the same day... Good luck |

You're talking about getting a Refund Anticipation Loan. All the major tax stores offer them -- HR Block, Jackson Hewitt, Liberty. But you need to have decent credit and you should proceed with caution if you have any outstanding debt like back taxes, unpaid child support, etc.
Just be aware that this is a LOAN and it will cost you extra to go this way. |
