You can't cash a check that old. If you call the IL dept of revenue, they might be able to replace it for you. |

You might want to try the State of Illinois unclaimed property department. Their website is www.cashdash.net They would have to send you a new check. |

Checks are usually void after 90 days, and the governement will only re-issue you a check up to three yrs back! Sorry! |

you need to send it back and have them reissue a new one. |

Try calling the IRS for your state and they will probably ask you to send it back so that it can be re-issued. |

You can't cash a check that old. Its possible you could get a new check cut though. I don't really know how though. |

I believe most paper checks are only valid from 30 days of the issue date. I would see if your bank will cash or deposit the money into your account, but you more than likely will have to contact the state of Illinois, maybe a quick call to H&R block wouldnt hurt, thats just the kind of thing they are good at dealing with. You could also try calling the state, you can probably also get the correct phone number from H&R block, they will answer questions over the phone for free. GOOD LUCK! |

Did you find it, steal it, or have you been living in a cave for the last 7 years?! Government checks are void after 90 days, it is printed right on the front of the check. Too bad... |

You will need to contact the state of IL and ask them the process. They will probably ask you to return it and reissue it. Also check the unclaimed property site online as it may have been transferred there by now. |
