1. If you decide to go to school instead of working, then you do not qualify for unemployment.
2. Even if you are not offered a job, if you go to school and cannot work because you are in school during working hours, then you do not qualify for unemployment.
3. Prior to the year 1865, Kentucky had slavery and a person could be forced to work. Currently, you do not have to take a job, but the someone offers you a job and you decide not to take it, then you do not qualify for unemployment. If the company offers you a job, you have two options (a) no job and no unemployment, or (b) job and no unemployment. If the company does not offer you a job, you have two options (a) unemployment and no job, or (b) no job and no unemployment. You do not have the option of unemployment if you also have the option of a job. (There are exceptions, such as if the job would require relocating 1000's of miles away, was unsafe, etc., but none of those exceptions apply if it is the same work at the same rate as your old job.) |

You are supposed to actively look for work while collecting SS benefits. If you turn a job down ( and they find out) it could jeopardize your benefits. Also, when applying for SS, they will call your employer and they may say you were offered a job with the new company and you turned it down. |

Yes unemployment would be denied if the new company offers you job. Unemployment is for people who can't find a job, not just to finance vacations or going back to school. If you turn down a suitable job, and the same as you have now would be considered suitable, you aren't eligible. |

In order to get UI you must be willing and able to work so you cant go to school also. |

You will most likely be regarded as having resigned. BTW, in most states, going to school makes you ineligible to receive unemployment as you are not available for work. |
