Direct deposit of refund does not mean direct deposit of stimulus payment.
If you used a tax service or tax program and paid your fee with your anticipated refund or got a RAL, a 3rd party bank was involved and the IRS does not have your bank information so they will mail your stimulus check.
On the IRS website it also says to please allow 2 weeks from what is says on the schedule. |

Me too. But i know why. If you used turbo tax or something like it,and at the end when they ask if you would like to pay for their services on a credit card (debit), or would you like to pay from your refund. Well if you paid the money out of your refund, now a third party was involved. So every if you got direct deposit for your refund but you paid turbo tax out of your refund then you will get a check. I wish they would have told us that. Idiots!!! |

Hey! If you are to receive your stimulus payment within a week, you can go to the IRB website and it tells you when to expect the payment and exactly how much you are getting.

Have you checked the "where's my stumulus payment" feature on the IRS website? I would check there and see what it is saying. I know that several people are saying that if you paid the fees for doing taxes from your refund that you will be sent a paper check, perhaps that is what is going on |

Did you give your bank account information on your tax return. If not, you will get paper check.
Go to www.irs.gov. Click Where is my Refund? Then click Status of my Stimulus Rebate. or #01-866-234-2942
For information on stimulus tax rebate schedule, the eligibility and how much rebate you will get read: http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/02/are-you-eligible.html |

Honestly, do you really expect the government to do what they say by a certain date? Just hang in there it'll come eventually |

The IRS can only direct deposit your stimulus check IF they have your bank account number. If you filed taxes using a third party such as H&R Block or TurboTax then got a Rapid Anticipation Loan, the IRS DOES NOT have your bank account number to direct deposit your stimulus check. You will instead be mailed a payment based on the last two digits of your social security number. |
