I have put 3k into my ISA for the year, and as you know you can only save 3k every tax year. So i was wonderin
what other types of saving acounts could I open with a high percentage rate and no small print.

All good answers apriciated.

Thank You.

You will have to go to your bank & open an off shore account.

Scobill
There are lots of banks and building societies offering some good short term (1year fixed) savings rates between 6 and 7% . although obviously you will be taxed at appropriate rate . So shop around whilst they are still available , even on the net . where internet rates are usually a shade higher.
If you want to avoid tax and can take a small risk then go for a stiock and shares ISA up to a further £4000. These can be taken at anything from low to high risk , again consult the investment manager at your bank .

You won't be able to open another ISA this year. How ever, Barclays have an ok account (savings builder) and i heard llyods have a good one too.. You can also try putting some into stocks? Before you dismiss it idea of stocks look into it. I have stocks and if the price falls below a certain price it automatically sells it for you..(you can set the price too).

if u open another isa they will catch up with you and send your money back in about 18 monmths less interest and can charge u ..

been there done that..... several times !!

open one in wifes name or children or relatives etc

paulie
I just know of ISA but if you find out anymore can you let me know great question though

If you're a higher rate taxpayer, you can't do better than NSI index linked. They pay 1% plus over inflation, and very few investments, other than ISAs, are tax free.

Try searching money supermarket.com for the best rates right now. A bond is good for a higher return but you can not always access the money.
