I have two W-2 forms from diffrent employers, is it okay to file the other one next year?
When I file for income tax return next year, will I still be able to file a 2006 W-2? The reason for this is, I already filed my income tax return, and I totally forgot about the part-time job I did for only 3 weeks last year. This employer said she will send my W2 form next month.
You will have to file an amended tax return for this year and claim that income. Any income you received in 2006 must be reported in 2007.
Nusha
You must include all the w-2 in the correct tax year. Since the IRS will check if you included all your W-2's you will be getting a notice from them and they will be asking for more money.
If you had tax withheld and you want to correct things now you can file a form 1040X to amend your return.
speddy
Sorry but you must have you taxes amended you cant carry it over to next year
ANN R
You should refile a amendment to your 2006 taxes so you are not penalized for this
David W
Assuming the IRS doesnt reject your return, you need to file an amended return. 1040x

You must file a 1040-X with a letter of explanation. No way you can file this years for 2007. Go to IRS web-site to download form
Doug O
No you can not carry of income. Not to worry though, the IRS got a copy of the w2 from the employer and the IRS will correct. It will just take a little longer to get your refund.
