File them. There are no penalties for late filing if you are due a refund. If the IRS hasn't been in touch for tax years 2006 and earlier it's not likely that you owe anything. You could still owe for 2007 and not be on their radar for that year yet.

If you have any unfiled returns for tax years 2004 or earlier, any refund is lost forever now since refund claims MUST be made within 3 years of the filing deadline of the tax year in question. Only tax years 2005 through 2007 are still open for refund claims, and the deadline for 2005 is April 15, 2009.

Get them filed; you are going to forfeit refunds past a three year deadline so sit down and get it done.

file them, get all your w2's and hope you don't owe money. I'd go to a tax office and let them do it. you may get a lot of money back or owe the irs alot of money and get audited.

Yeah, you need to seek the nearest tax office and have a talk with them to discuss your options. You'll probably just end up having to pay back taxes and any penalty fees that go along with it. But seriously, you need to file right away or else the feds might decide to audit you.

phishfour
Go to a tax guy and get them filed right away.

just try filing this year. Don't worry about the other years unless the IRS asks about it.

ytmaya
you'd have to pay a lot of penalties for filing them late, but your tax person should be able to help you.

Contact the IRS and beg for forgiveness. They will make payment arrangements. It couldn't hurt to find a tax lawyer either.
