Uh-oh. Some people received LESS than they should have because they didn't get the money for a dependent. Sounds like yours is the reverse, since single, no dependents, the most you could have qualified for is $600.
I'd call the IRS. And let the extra $300 just sit in your account by now - you'll be paying it back. |

the government sent out over 15,000 incurate checks most of them dealing with dependents it was a direct deposit the guv will pull the $300.00 from your account so i wouldnt be spending it if i were you |

It sounds like an error by the IRS, your bank, or your tax return. Keep the extra money in your account. Chances are that there will be correcting withdrawal of $300.
Wait for the letter explaining your rebate. |

Do you have a child? You get $300 for each child. If not I wouldn't spend it and call and see b/c they will find out if there was a mistake and you'll have to pay it back. |

Don't spend the extra because the IRS messed up on some of the dd and check's. If you spend it and later you find out that it wasn't your's, you will have to pay it all back. |

been couple of articles out there, that the irs messed up some things up, they even forgot to send out that 300 child rebate back, i wouldn't spend it just yet, just sit back and smile, and hopefully they won't take it back |

I was expecting something and got nothing. What's the situation there? Don't complain. Many of us got nothing. You couldn't get a hold of the IRS to ask them about it anyway right now. Just be glad you got SOMETHING. The IRS is really screwing this whole thing up big time. |
