Well I would prefer it if I didn't have to pay so much, but it is perfectly right that we pay taxes, especially when we see the benefits. I spend half my time in a country where there is hardly any accountability. Taxes are hardly paid, but huge bribes are. As a result, all the roads are bad, there are over ten power cuts a day, there is poverty and under development everywhere - No good hospitals, School classrooms without chairs and desks. There is so much we take for granted in the West. Sometimes I go to bed at night, not sure whether armed bandits are going to come and rob me at gun point in the middle of the night - not because they are greedy, but because the Govt. is not meeting their basic needs.
I would pay any amount of tax, to have a reasonable retirement pension, good NHS services, good roads, security and a civilised society, afterall we all eventually die leaving it all behind. It is the quality of life that you have when you're alive that matters. I am glad you like paying tax; and for the sake of our nation and preserving of civilisation, I hope you really do. |

i love it, what i love the most is that i get to work all week and take my money away thats already been taxed, then go out and get taxed some more its superb, i think petrol is the best |

I would rather pay my taxes than try to save up for: - when I was ill and had to pay for all my own medical care - the private firm to come and remove my rubbish on a regular basis - etc
I think we would like it less then.
I dont like paying tax but prefer it to the alternative |
