At first I was amazed at how many people did not answer your question.
The answer is, they might qualify to claim your daughter. See this link for answers from the IRS (it is a tax tutorial on dependents).
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-utl/mod_4_-_tax_tutorial.pdf
Hellion actually tried to answer...but it was wrong. There is no longer a requirement to pay more than 50% of the support for a qualifying child (a grandchild is); now, the test is that the child did not pay more than half of their own support (but still has to meet the other tests). And, the Grandparents would not have to be able claim their child to be able to claim the grandchild.
Then I read Judy's answer (she is usually right or very close to being right). That made me think...do you want your parents to be able to claim your daughter, or are you trying to prevent it?
If a child qualifies as a dependent for more than one person, you are able to choose who will take that deduction. If you can't agree there are tie-breaker rules that will apply. In this case as the parent you would win the tie-breaker (assuming that your not a dependent of your parents).
Hope this helps. |

For the requirements, read Qualifying Child as dependent

Your daughter is going to be eligible to be claimed by you OR your parents, just not both.
If you are 19 or older (or a student and 24 or older) and made at least $3500 for 2008, you can't be claimed as their dependent, so yes, you'll have to decide who claims the child. If there is a disagreement, you win as parent. |

There are two cases, but basically you are in charge of who claims your child.
1. You are a dependent of your parents. This occurs when you are under age 19 or under age 24 and a full-time student, and you do not provide over half of your own support.
If you are a dependent, you cannot claim your daughter. Your parents would be able to claim your daughter unless you waive the exemption for your daughter to the noncustodial parent (Form 8332).
2. You are not a dependent of your parents. You can claim your daughter. If your parents also claim your daughter, your claim would take precedence.
You can choose to have your parents claim your daughter in either case. |

Can your parents claim you as a dependent? If they can, then no you can't claim your daughter. If they can't claim you as a dependent, most likely either you can claim the child or your parents can. |

If your parents are providing more than 50% of your and your daughters support, they can claim you as deductions on their tax return. |

Obviously your parents are supporting your daughter since you cannot raise a kid on 3,400..So yes they can claim her since they supported her throughout the year. |

Is that a misprint only "3,400" thats pretty low income not enough to live on even if you live with your parents |
