You will have a tax liability of 33,250 if you take the standard deduction and claim one exemptions(yourself).
Tax that you will owe on that is 4,736.
Now guess you got paid bi weekly around 1615 you would pay around 4,000 per year in taxes claiming 3.
So I think you will have to owe. Unless you have other credits/deductions/exemptions you can claim that will lower your tax or tax liability.

That would depend on what your other deductions are. To be honest, most likely, you will not and you will owe money. Have a professional do your taxes this year. It sounds like you may have been involved in a divorce or something.
good luck.

That depends. If you have $6000 or so in adjustments or in deductions over the standard deduction, you'd be OK. But if you don't, figure that you will be writing a check for extra tax rather than getting any refund.

You'll be able to claim the dependants so long as they lived with you for more than six months of the year in question. Doesn't matter their whereabouts when you file.

Whoa! It isn't how many dependens you have when you file, it's how many dependents did you have during the tax year. You aren't telling us much, but it looks like there was a divorce or something else involved.
To avoid getting the shaft, perhaps a trip to HR Block might be in orde.
Good luck.

unfortunatley unles syou have a lot of itemized decuction like mortgage interest medical etc you are more than likely going to have to pay

Yes. You had dependants in year 2007 which is the year your filing for. It has nothing to do with 2008 which will be year you have no dependants.

probably not. and you will more than likely have to pay. i hope you had lots of cash taken out of your check and that you have a hefty finance rate on a mortgage.
