I need a $200,000 loan, firms from UK and Nigeria are willing, they want me to pay a tax fee. Is this legit?
I was in search of a loan for $200,000 and I have bad credit and no collateral. I received some referrals from yahoo answers and gave them a try. There are a couple loan firms that say they will loan me the money but I must send them a residential tax fee before I can receive the loan. My question is, is this a scam? Has anyone tried this and got scammed out of money. Because I am in need and can't afford to blow money away.

YES ! This is a scam, You cannot even imagine how many lotteries i have suposed to have won, Just in the last month. Remember if all they needed was the TAX they could deduct it from the money you are supposed to recive ! What they really want is your I D.And also your bank acc. or any credit or debit card numbers !

all those are scam not legit any company that use free email address are fake lenders i have been scam befor of $2000 and i know what these men can do.

the company that help me is skyloanfirm@aol.com

contact them and i am sure they can be of great help to you.

Sure they are willing - to take your fee. They're scams, and you'll never see the loan money.

Sounds to me like a scam. I doubt that anyone offering monies via here with upfront cash requests will be legit.

Is there no way you can approach local banks or else check out loan companies advertised in your local press.

Cold callers via the internet aren't your best bet, imho.

Good luck.

Yes, it's a scam.

It is a SCAM. It is called an "Advance Fee Scam".

ALL of the "lenders" who troll message boards or people who refer you to lenders via email are scammers. The web-based email address (Yahoo!, gmail, Hotmail, etc.) are the first clue along with poor English usage in the posting.

Never send money to a "lender" in hopes of getting a loan. A legit lender would deduct any fees from the proceeds.

And lastly, no legit lender is going to loan anyone $200k with bad credit. I think that you can give up looking.

Note: By having the word "loan" in your question, you attract scammers to your post. They search on the word "loan" and cut and paste their responses.

If you go back to your first question, you will see that all of the answers from scammers have been deleted by Yahoo! Yahoo! eventually deletes the scammers accounts but they just set up new ones.

You have answered your own question here.

You have no collateral and a bad credit rating, yet someone in a country you dont live in is claiming to offer you $200k if you send them a 'residential tax fee' (whatever one of them is).

If you cant recognise that as a scam then you are destined to get much poorer very quickly I'm afraid. Always use a reputable finance broker (if such a thing exists) - Yahoo Answers, for all its usefulness, is not the place to find a risk free good referral.

The UK financial services authority has a useful site on protecting yourself against scams at http://www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk/guides/staying_safe/staying_safe_against_scams.html
