other than the payment plan?

im open at any and all ideas

If the balance includes penalties, if you have reasonable cause for doing what caused them, they can be abated but you have to ask. Reasonable cause is what a normal person would have done under the circumstances with the exercise of ordinary business care and prudence.

The only way you can reduce the balance is by giving the IRS money. If you have any extra funds, you can always make additional payments against your debt.

Wayne Z
You can't.

The IRS will not accept settlement offers on amounts this "small".

Judy1
Pay extra with your payments, that's really the only way.

Seriously, pay it. You can't do an OIC if the amount is this small.

Go through your stuff and have a garage sale or list a few items on eBay.

You can appeal. Or you can pay the $2000 in one lump sum and be done with it.

Change your withholding to single -0- and $25. Then the IRS will keep your refund and help pay off your tax burden.

Anything and everything; garage sale, go to the blood bank and sell some blood every week, hire on as a male escort, get a second or third job. You may have to do all these things anyway because of our soon to be political makeup where there are lots and lots of people saying "gimmie-gimmie-gimmie"; those of us who work and provide the goods for these "gimmie" programs will see our taxes increased drastically. I for one am going to quit my second job and sign up for all the goodies that I can get since I am tired of working and want to just laze around and enjoy the good life.
