From the Turbo Tax Website:
What if I paid to file my 2007 taxes with my refund money using Santa Barbara Bank & Trust?
Even if you have received or will receive your tax refund by direct deposit to your bank account via Santa Barbara Bank & Trust, the IRS will not do the same for your tax rebate. It will mail your rebate instead.
This applies only to TurboTax customers who used the "refund transfer" with SBB&T when filing. This service lets you pay for your tax preparation and/or e-filing from your refund proceeds, for an additional fee, rather than use a credit card.
When TurboTax customers chose this payment method, they authorized the bank to set up temporary accounts to be used only to receive their 2007 refunds from the IRS. The IRS sends the refunds to the temporary accounts and the bank transmits them directly to customers.
Because the IRS does not in fact receive taxpayers bank-account numbers under this method, it cannot match taxpayers with their current bank accounts.
That's why the IRS decided that taxpayers who entered into financial transactions with third parties, such as SBB&T, would get rebates by mail. This also applies to taxpayers who used "refund anticipation loans" or RALs (loans made to tax filers against their expected refunds). TurboTax does not offer RALs. |

My last two are 19 and I have not received my check either. I used turbo tax and my fees were directly taken out and I do not understand why I have not got my check!! I do not think that the IRS should have gave us dates on when to expect our checks and then they not show up! They should have not promised nothing! How rude! There are so many ppl depending on this check well and 9 out of 10 ppl already have it spent and have not even received it yet!! |

What bostonia says is not true. Both me and my husband filed with TurboTax and we both had the fees taken out of our check and direct deposited.
My husband received his money on April 28th and his last two are 20. I still haven't received mine and my last two are 11. |

We didn't receive ours either. My SSN ends in 17, we filed the beginning of Feb., and we got DD as well. There is no reason we shouldn't have received it yesterday. It's a bummer, I know. I just wish they would tell us why. We didn't receive a RAL or a RAC or any kind of loan from any where. We don't owe the IRS, or anyone for that matter, any money. I do not understand what the problem is.
I guess we just have to wait and see what happens........ |

I haven't received mine yet, My last are between that range 00-20. I also did direct deposit but i have been hearing many answers about not receiving it because of the fact that I had H&R block take their fee directly out of my tax refund. Blah, If i dont get it at all thats a shame! A single mother plus i'm a student. They have to give me a check! |

Plenty of folks haven't received it yet. Anyone who e-filed after about April 3rd or mailed a paper return after about March 3rd won't be in the first batch of recipients.
Also, if you had your tax prep fees deducted from your refund you'll receive a paper check in the mail in a few weeks, even if the balance was directly deposited to your bank account. That's because the IRS didn't send your refund to YOUR bank directly but to the tax prep firm's partner bank who then relayed it to you. |

Amazing how none of these details were explained when we filed. I for one, would have not had my fees taken from my refund had I known this. I used Turbo Tax too, and I am sure Santa Barbara Trust knew this road block would occur. So when are the paper checks SUPPOSED to be released for those of us in that 00-20 group? |

We have not received ours either. We made betwee 45K - 55K last year. We have two kids, we filed married jointly. Social ends in 11 and or 00. We filed H&R online with payment taken out of tax return. So, it looks like we will receive a paper check. Sorry to hear that people are having the same problem we are. But, then again I am glad to hear it.
Here is to looking forward to May 9th?? right.. that is when we should receive a paper check. |

how many times does it need repeating? if you had your fees deducted from your refund, then you have to wait for the paper checks, and they will not start until the 9th.
and if you filed your refund after march 15th then you will not make the first batch. 200 million people sent in thier taxes at the last minute,, they have not even processed half of them yet, if you did it early like me you would have your money.
and third, if you did not recieve a letter from the i.r.s. telling you that you were qualified, then you are not qualified.
and stop asking us where your money is, call the i.r.s. cause no one on here knows where your money is. |

Yep, thousands upon thousands, I am sure....
You see, anyone who used a third party tax preparer/service
and had fees taken out of their refund, (for example H&R Block, Tax Act, and others), got a RAL or rapid refund anticipation loan, etc...the direct deposit received then was
actually from that third party preparer/service, and NOT directly from the IRS, which is why now many people are discovering that the "schedule" put out by the IRS is not factual, if the above applies to you. They should update their website to explain this situation, and that anyone in the above situation will now be under the mailing schedule, instead of the direct deposit schedule. |
