Unfortunately you can't be claimed as a dependent and file independent so if she included ur w-2 form with her's than that money is going to come in her name not yours if you didnt file ur w-2 than she's only getting the money for u as a dependent usually varies i get about 1000 for my daughter but she's on 1 year. the upside to it is if anything u can file two w-2's next year and get a double check

How is she claiming you? You are over 18 years.....you should be filing your own taxes (unless you are in college but still....)
If you aren't paying taxes and someone else is claiming you, no you won't get anything.

I think it is only for people who actually filed.

Nothing is carved in stone yet.

There is a House version and a Senate version
of the economic stimulus bill... one final bill will be
approved by Congress then sent to the President
who is due to sign it into law around February 15.

Bottom line is this... if you file a 2007 tax return
showing income and pay taxes, you will probably
get a rebate.

I think that means that she will get the rebate on your behaf since she claimed you..Which means you didn't fill out a W2 right

You have to file your taxes and not be claimed as a dependent by your mother to get anything back.

that might be the case but then if so your mom would get a family rebate which is larger than an individual's

You should still get a rebate.
But I think your information has to be filed with your mothers.
