could be many reasons why its stopped, was you working last year & recd too much working tax credit so are now getting back by with holding child tax, you no longer receive child benefit because your children have all left full time education...the list can go on, give them a call 0845 300 3900 on Tuesday |

We had child tax credits and they suddenly stopped..I phoned and asked why ..as my daughter was still being educated.."they asked me where does my daughter go to school " and i told them that she had started university..at 18 years old..and they said that's why as she comes under a different payment scheme..also they asked if my income had gone up ..i said no ..child tax credits have a lot of factors..are you receiving carers allowance ..are you receiving pension credits ..or disability allowance..etc ..if you have any of these you might find this is the reason they stopped it..give them a phone call..I was just trying to find the number for you but I can't seem to lay my hands on it at the moment..sorry.. |

maybe a couple of reasons, firstly how old is your child, maybe they have passed the age...ie 17 or something or maybe they have started work.
also, recently there was a renewal pack sent to people, is it possible that you didnt receive one, or didnt complete.
You also need to be working at least 16 hours per week, has this changed? |

Because the thieving bas*ards that awarded to you have probably changed the rules about you being eligible to claim. Look out for the next letter when they ask you to pay it all back.

probably because they have paid you too much from last year but they should have wrote to you to explain,just ring them up and they will let you know why..good luck |

After years of trying to work out how they calculate my credit, I've finally found out. It means that 12 clerks sitting in a circle passed a new claim form anticlockwise until held by someone wearing blue underwear. The date of this person's birthday was tapped into the multi-million pound data storage system preceded by her mother's initials and followed by her first love's initial. This produced your National Insurance number, which meant your claim stops forthwith. This is to help counterbalance the woman's in Milton Keynes who has been paid £3,452.65 excess over the past 2 years. |
