If you SS ends in 05, you're supposed to get it by this Friday, May 2. It's not late. Some are getting it early, but not everyone. You should have it by this Friday. |

Let's see, you read the news that *some* of the rebates were going out yesterday and ASSUMED that included you.
Forget about it until 5/2. Even if you don't have it by then, let it go another 2 weeks before wasting your time calling the IRS to see what's going on.
The deposits on 4/28 were only about 1 million rebates out of the 130 million planned. |

No one was "supposed" to get the check yesterday. Some people did. The schedule for your SSN # is sometime by Friday. And even that is not a guarantee, depending on the complexity of your return and other factors. |

No you weren't supposed to get it yesterday. If you are in the first wave of direct deposits, you are supposed to get it by Friday, three more days from now. They said SOME would be early, not all.

They are doing a phased distribution of the rebate deposits. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday they will be depositing 800,000 each day. Thursday they will not be depositing any in preparation for a large batch of payments (5 million) on Friday.
According to the IRS website, if your SSN ends in 00-09, and you had your tax refund direct deposited, you should receive a direct deposit by May 2nd.
Alternatively, they will begin mailing checks for people without direct deposit beginning May 9th and continuing through May 16th for people in the 00-09 group. |

Don't feel bad my social security number is 00 and I still don't have it. Just a few more days and we will have it. Sorry you have to wait! I keep checking my bank account too. Don't feel bad! |

I mostly agree with Cameron....however it is with ss numbers ending 00-20 by May 2nd.....the next batch by May 9th. It isn't in order within the batch.....so, just because yours ends in 05....someone with 20 can get it before you do. The first batch started yesterday & will continue all week except for Thursday. You should have it by friday, if you opted for direct deposit. |
