It's the same in Delaware and several other states. Alaska probably gets it's revenue from other things like the fishing industry, or tourism. |

it is already "included", the $0 tax meant the "$0 main land tax"
but the local government still needs income, so it is already included. the shop still has to makeup the tax on top of the sales price. |

thats because thats considered a desolate land, the govt actually pays for the residents to live there, they get 5 grand a year for all per household, its nice i own almost 600,000 thousand acres over there i bought it for 50,000 so one day ill build my own city when the ice melts and ill be one of the most famous persons in world history lol lol jk but ill be famous though |

Correct! We do not have a state tax! There are only 6 other US states that do not have a state tax. We do NOT get paid to live here. The state does share a bit of the oil revenue profits with us. This year the PFD check was about 1654. We hope you enjoyed your visit with us. Come back again.Thank you. |

it is the state taxes that they don't pay. Anchorage don't have sells tax but smaller towns like Homer has sells tax. And also they get a pfd. check once a year. |

the same thing happened to me in Massachusetts, a few years ago. it is up to the state laws if things are taxed or not. imagine my shock,i lived in Mass. and we used to call it Tax-achusetts. state laws are different in each state. now if federal tax is levied on some items, that is different, the state has no say in the matter. |
