If by Jan 31st you have not received your W2, call the employer and ask them if they have been sent. If by Feb 15th you have not received it, call the Internal Revenue Service and file a W2 complaint. They wil take a report and send you a form that you can use as a subsitute, you will need your last paycheck stub when you call, along with the name, address and phone# of the employer and what dates you worked for them

They aren't required to mail out the form until January 31st. It wouldn't hurt to call them to make sure it hasn't been lost in the mail or anything. |

Yes you will get one but companies have until 1/31 to even send them out.. if you dont get it in a couple of weeks I would start calling the company. |

the W-2 has to be postmarked by 01/31 but depending on your mail you may not see if for a week or so after that |

If within those 3 weeks you DID NOT make over $600 then they are not obligated to send you a W2. When you go to file your return, your last pay stub from that place will be sufficent. Technically employers have until the 31st of Jan. to have your W2 postmarked. |
